After I quit SC, I found that I had a ton of spare time (I played way too much lol). One of the hobbies I picked up was weight lifting. I'm just wondering if anyone else here lifts weights regularly and what they think about it.
I've been lifting for about 4 months now, and I personally think it's a ton of fun. I've also noticed a boost in my popularity with the ladies ;D. The high you get after you finish your sets is better than drugs (or so I'm told. I've never done any drugs so I wouldn't know, but I know the high you get is amazing). I highly recommend it as a hobby for anyone.

I do it all year round for football. 3-4 times a week for 30-45mins .

workout consists of a 15min jog either inside on the treadmill or outside(summer). then 3 reps of 15 situps & pushups. last, bench press, and curls.

i have been starting a regular little workout lately... 15-20 min jog after skool, instead of doing 3 reps of 15 or sumthin... i do deteriorating (right word?) reps... like i start out with 30 crunches take a short break then do 20 then break then 15 the break then 10 then break. same thing with pushups but 30 20 15 10 5. then i do some Tricep Pushups (doubt thats what they r called) in which you sit on the edge of a surface (preferably a bed or weight bench) put ur feet all the way out in front slide off the surface and lift urself up and down using ur triceps, at the down position ur arms should be at a 70-90 degree angle. and i do same reps of those as pushups. then of course curls... im too lazy to go do bench presses plus my arms are bout ready to fall off after the pushups and tricep and bicep workouts =/
anyone know if the just solid 3 reps of 15 or 4 reps of 15 is better for you then doing the "deteriorating" reps?

When working it out*(LOL), its better to keep your heart rate up , you should try 3 reps of 10-15 for a week and see how it goes. Proper breathing and technique are key factors.

Ok first of all: Rep=One lift Set=A certain number of lifts in a row A couple of my friends do the "deteriorating" sets, only every time they do less reps they put more weight on. So for example, they do 10 reps of 135lbs, 8 reps of 145, 6 reps of 155, and 4 reps of 165. The more reps you do, the more cardiovascular the workout becomes, which is good for burning fat and toning muscles. If you do alot of weight and less reps, the more anaerobic it is, which builds bulk muscle faster. The "deteriorating" sets hits them both. For you mast, if you aren't adding more weight, doing less reps isn't really helping lol. For me, I got lucky and got super genetics (extremely high metabolism, less than 2% body fat, naturally toned muscles) so pretty much all I do is high weight and low reps.

lol. Weed high lasts alot longer but I can almost guarantee that it's not better. I almost passed out today after I held the tricep pulldown bar at 90 degrees for as long as I possibly could. My whole arm turned dark red and my veins were fking huge. After my arms caved in, I fell on the floor and it was the greatest feeling ever. I can't explain it lol, but it's probably like a weed high x10.

lmao okey doke.... yea i gots a high metabolism too. My body fat would be down a lot more and whatever else if i worked out more... i be spending too much time on the compy im only at like 15% body fat right now tho =/ soo ehh

Lol l i might work out later on in life when metabolism slows down. but for now i only weigh 150 and im 5.8 and i eat like a horse drink alot of beer and smoke alot of weed. but i guess u could say i work out 2-3 times a week if sex regarded as working out.
